Terms of Service

Effective date: September 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of gmapscraper.io, the hosted scraper, API, MCP server, agent Skill, and browser extension (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, creating an account, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization.

1. The Service

G Maps Scraper provides tools for requesting, organizing, and exporting public business and place information. Product allowances are separate: Extension credits do not become Online records or API requests, and Online records do not become API requests. Features, supported fields, and usage are governed by the current product page and the plan version attached to your subscription.

The Service and its output may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, unavailable, or inaccurate. Public-source content can change without notice. You must verify output before relying on it and are responsible for your downstream use.

2. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information and keep sessions, email access, API keys, webhook secrets, and devices secure. You are responsible for activity performed with your credentials until you notify us and revoke them. You may not share test or live keys publicly, bypass access controls, or allow one organization to masquerade as another.

We may require additional verification for security-sensitive or administrative actions. Email OTP authentication alone does not grant platform-administrator access.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable privacy, marketing, intellectual-property, database, consumer-protection, and platform rules. You may not use the Service to:

  • violate another person's rights or a source platform's applicable restrictions;
  • collect or infer sensitive personal information, target children, or facilitate discrimination;
  • determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another consequential decision;
  • harass, stalk, threaten, deceive, spam, or perform unlawful surveillance;
  • distribute malware, probe systems, bypass rate limits or quotas, or interfere with the Service;
  • resell access credentials, disguise request origin, or use multiple identities to evade controls; or
  • submit content or instructions that you lack authority to process.

You are responsible for determining whether your collection, enrichment, retention, outreach, and export activities have an appropriate lawful basis. We may suspend or limit activity reasonably believed to create legal, security, provider, or operational risk.

4. Customer inputs and results

You retain rights you have in your customer inputs. You grant us the limited rights needed to receive, encrypt, submit, process, store, reproduce, and deliver those inputs and results and to operate support, security, billing, and deletion workflows.

As disclosed in the Privacy Policy, public-place observations may be retained in canonical storage for deduplication, quality, reprocessing, and future product use when an appropriate independent basis exists. Tenant-specific queries, job associations, credentials, and configuration remain private to the authorized organization. Validated privacy, suppression, takedown, contractual, and legal obligations override reuse.

5. Plans, usage, and overage

Current prices and included quantities are shown before checkout. Paid subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. API paid plans include a monthly request allowance and bill each accepted request above that allowance at the displayed per-request overage rate. A valid API request consumes one request unit when durably admitted, including a valid empty result or a later provider failure after admission. Idempotent replay, stored-result reads, invalid input rejected before admission, and deterministic test-key calls do not consume a live request unit.

Online plans consume records from normalized results. The Extension retains its existing separate credit contract. We may delay or reject work when a quota, concurrency control, spend cap, abuse control, or provider capacity limit is reached. Taxes may be added where required and are shown by the payment provider before completion.

6. Billing, cancellation, and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize recurring charges, applicable taxes, and disclosed API overage. You can cancel a paid subscription through the customer billing portal; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless the checkout or applicable law says otherwise.

The public pricing offer includes a seven-day money-back guarantee for the first base subscription charge. To request it, email contact@gmapscraper.io within seven calendar days of that charge and identify the account and subscription. Metered API overage, taxes remitted, abuse, fraud, repeated purchases, renewals, and charges already refunded are excluded except where applicable law requires otherwise. Billing errors and duplicate charges will be investigated and corrected.

7. Intellectual property

We and our licensors retain rights in the Service, documentation, software, branding, and original materials. These Terms do not grant rights to Google or Google Maps content, third-party websites, or other third-party materials. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or circumvent the Service except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by law or an applicable open-source license permits it.

Feedback may be used without restriction or payment, but we will not identify you publicly as its source without permission.

8. Availability, changes, and data durability

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features to address security, legal, provider, or operational needs. We will use reasonable efforts to avoid breaking documented, supported interfaces; the installed Extension's compatibility endpoints follow their separately documented support window.

The Service does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent retention, or a separate application-managed backup. Canonical results are stored in the primary product database, but catastrophic data loss remains possible. Export information you must retain. Any stated service level applies only if separately agreed in writing.

9. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party infrastructure, billing, email, authentication, maps-data, and hosting providers. Their outages, policy changes, and source-data changes can affect the Service. Your use of a third-party site or exported data may also be governed by that party's terms.

G Maps Scraper is independently operated and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google or Google Maps.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, unlawful activity, nonpayment, credential compromise, platform abuse, or a risk that cannot reasonably be mitigated while access remains active. Where practical, we will limit the suspension to the affected feature or organization and preserve access to billing and existing results.

Account closure follows the Privacy Policy and any required billing, audit, suppression, legal-hold, or public-record rules. Termination does not erase payment obligations already incurred.

11. Disclaimers and limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or result accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunity. Our aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the fees you paid for the affected product during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited or to fraud, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Governing rules and disputes

Applicable mandatory law governs these Terms. Before filing a formal claim, contact contact@gmapscraper.io and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it, unless urgent relief or applicable law permits otherwise. Nothing here limits a regulator's authority or a non-waivable consumer right.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post a revised effective date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively; continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

14. Contact

Questions, refund requests, and legal notices may be sent to contact@gmapscraper.io.
